Sylvie Lanckriet (ex bank clerk) comes from Tielt (West Flanders) and Bart Van Rentergem (ex police man) comes from Gent.

Both got acquainted with the dive sport at the CMAS club Watermannekes in Wetteren (Belgium). Since then they have become passioned divers. To make a living out of a hobby is a dream come true for them!

Blue Paradise has established itself as a professional PADI and CMAS dive centre.

How did we get here?

Hurghada was one of our favourite diving destinations from the beginning. We love the good-natured atmosphere, the excellent climate and especially the superb diving sites. We were of the opinion (and still are) that nowhere in the world where there is such a variety of underwater life and such reasonable prices. So our choice was easily made. Hurghada was the place to start a Dutch language diving school.

Why the name Blue Paradise?

Actually Hurghada is one large blue paradise for divers. You can dive here year round under ideal circumstances (the water temperature is a minimum of 20 degrees). Aided by the beautiful nature underwater we try to create a paradise for our divers. No lugging air tanks and gear around, comfortable boats, experienced dive guides – who speak the diver’s native language, tasty lunches between the dives, - in short diving and enjoyment!
