
Upon booking you will receive an invoice. To ensure your booking a deposit of 50% of the total amount will be required within 10 working days. Upon receipt of the downpayment your reservation is confirmed. Partial deposits will not be accepted. The balance has to be paid three months before departure.
If we book the flight for you, the total amount of the flight has to be paid immediately. Airlines only confirm your seat on the plane upon receipt of the full amount on their account. Till then price changes are possible.
Cancellations by you:
All cancellations are to be made in writing. If cancelled:
* 91 days– 60 days prior to cruise date: refund minus 10% of the total amount due of the cruise.
* 60 days– 31 days prior to cruise date: refund minus 50% of the total amount due of the cruise.
* 30 days– 16 days prior to cruise date: refund minus 75 % of the total amount due of the cruise.
* less than 15 days prior to cruise date: no refund.
You may of course, make a claim on the insurance if your cancellation comes within the terms of the policy.
There is no refund for unused or partly used diving packages during your diving cruise. We cannot give refunds or be held liable if you fall ill or do not wish to complete any part of the diving cruise through personal choice. If you decide to terminate your diving cruise before completion this is solely at your discretion and no refunds will be given. We can not be held liable for any costs. You may off course make a claim under the terms & conditions of your insurance policy. Our ‘Policy’ is fairly drawn up for both parties, for the client as well as the supplier, and is meant to prevent loss of income. It is strongly advised to take out a cancellation insurance.
Passengers details:
Kindly note that due to the new instructions from the Tourism Ministry in Egypt, it is important to send us the following details at least 1 month before departure of the cruise:
- Full name
- Birth Date
- Nationality
- Passport number
- Level of dive certification
- Number of logged dives
- Date of last logged dive
- Personal insurance company/details (dive insurance is mandatory)
- Arrival flight details (ETA, carrier, airport)
- Departure flight details (ETD, carrier, airport)
Please also include any dive equipment requests with sizes (torches also need to be reserved before arrival), tanks requests (15L, Nitrox, ... ), dietary requirements and/or special occasions (for example birthday, honeymoon).
Marine Park Fees & Reef Tax:
These fees have to be paid for government permits which are required for divers and non-divers and are not refundable under any circumstances.
Deco-insurance:
Blue Paradise is a member of D.E.C.O. International & HYPERMED. This clinic lives up to Western standards and has a decompression chamber available as well as all necessary equipment to handle any emergency. A deco-insurance is available for 7 Euro. This card is valid for 3 weeks from the date of issue and only for the decompression chamber.
Last night on board or in a hotel:
If the last night of the cruise is spent in an hotel, a standard double room is booked. Single rooms or other extras need to be paid additionally. The rooms are booked based on Bed&Breakfast. Dinner on the 6th day is not included.
Damage to personal or rented diving equipment:
You are responsible for personal or rented diving equipment, including cameras or video equipment. We cannot be held liable for damages or loss of personal or rented diving equipment. You are responsible for obtaining adequate insurance to cover any damages or loss. If any equipment belonging to us or our suppliers is damaged or lost, we reserve the right to make a charge to make good the damage or loss.
Liveaboard changes:
In the unlikely event that we have to change the liveaboard that you booked for reasons beyond our control, we aim to provide a liveaboard of the same standard. In the unlikely event this is not possible, we will reimburse you the price difference.
Diving & Weather Conditions:
The exact itinerary will always depend on the weather conditions and may also depend on unforeseen Egyptian Government restrictions. The dive sites are determined by the dive guide(s) together with the captain. The captain is the boss, he is responsible for his passengers and crew. He knows the weather conditions & the liveaboard better than anyone and thus has the last word in determining the dive sites. In the unlikely event, dives are missed or dive sites can not be reached due to weather conditions, refund or compensation is not offered. We can not be held responsible or liable for bad weather conditions and the resulting loss of diving days.
Delays:
We cannot accept any liability for delays in your flight from or to your destination whether the cancellation or delay is caused by adverse weather conditions, re-scheduling by the airline, airport authority and/or action by air traffic controllers, mechanical breakdown or industrial action. Also, we can not be held liable for delay of departure or lost diving days due to luggage being lost, stolen or delayed by the airline carriers.
Complaints:
If you have any complaints during the duration of your holiday, you should report them directly to us, which would usually lead to the complaint being resolved.
yet as you still have to check your holidays at work, please contact us and we will give you an option of maximum 5 days. This means that we will block the place(s) or liveaboard chosen by you for a maximum period of 5 days. From the 6th day the place(s) or liveaboard will be available to everyone again.
