Padi (Junior) Adventure Diver

Duration: 1 day.
Program: 3 adventure dives from the boat.
Minimum age: Junior 10 years / 15 years.
Prerequisites: Padi (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization.

What is it like to dive to 30 metres? How can you take pictures underwater? Is diving in the dark as scary as it sounds? The answer to these questions can be found if you take the PADI Adventure Diver course. You learn new skills, gain more experience and thus increase your confidence while diving. It is an excellent way to see what interests you – be it deep diving, night diving, wreck diving or whatever. You can choose between 14 elective dives. We will gladly assist you in choosing the most beneficial adventure dives for you.

The academic training consists of reading the 3 modules of the chosen elective dives + answering in writing the knowledge reviews of the 3 modules with the aid of the PADI 'Adventures in Diving' manual.

Note: The dives of your Padi (Junior) Adventure Diver course can be credited to the Padi (Junior) Advanced course.

Padi (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver

Duration: 2 days OR you can take the Padi (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver course during a 5-days diving package/10 boatdives = 5 adventure dives + 5 boatdives.
Program: 2 compulsory dives (navigation- and deep dive) & 3 elective dives.
Minimum age: Junior 12 years / 15 years.
Maximum depth: Junior - 21 metres / 15 years - 30 metres.
Prerequisites: Padi (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization.

Move up from the Padi (Junior) Open Water Diver course to the Padi (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver course and experience real adventure. You learn new skills and gain more confidence. This course enables you to gain more experience and thus learn to dive more safely. You make a total of 5 adventure dives. The deep and navigation dive are compulsory. For the other 3 adventure dives a choice can be made between 12 elective dives (night-, drift-, wreckdive, underwater photography, underwater scooter, ... are just some of your options.

The academic training consists of reading the 5 modules of the 5 adventure dives + answering in writing the knowledge reviews of the 5 modules with the aid of the PADI 'Adventures in Diving' manual.

Note: The dives of your Padi (Junior) Adventure Diver course or Padi (Junior) Advanced Open Water course can be credited to the corresponding Padi (Junior) Specialty Diver course.

Padi Emergency First Response

Duration: 1 day on land.
No age prerequisite.
No dive certification required.

This course teaches you how to act and handle properly in an emergency, both theory and practice are handled during this course. Primary Care (CPR = Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and Secondary Care (First Aid) are taught. This course is internationally recognised and recommended for as well divers as non-divers.

Padi (Junior) Rescue Diver

Duration: 3 to 4 days.
Minimum age: Junior 12 years / 15 years.
Prerequisites:
- Padi (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization;
- Emergency First Response: Primary Care + Secondary Care or equivalent through another training organization within the past 24 months.


During the PADI Rescue Diver Course you learn to help a diver in need. Not only in the water, but also on land. This course teaches you to pay even more attention to your own safety and that of others. Although this course is serious, licensed Padi Rescue divers are saying that this course is the most instructive but also the most pleasant course.

The PADI Rescue Diver course will expand your knowledge and experience level to be able to act and handle effective if faced with a less pleasant incident. When having the proper knowledge, you are able to recognize possible problematical cases, to prevent these and to act properly & efficient in case of emergency.

The academic training consists of reading the Padi Rescue Diver manual, answering in writing the knowledge reviews of each module, watching the Padi Rescue Diver video on DVD on which all skills are explained again. We finish the academic training with the Padi Rescue Diver exam.

During the open water sessions a lot of skills are practiced. The last 2 excersises of this course are complete dive accident scenarios.

The Padi Rescue Diver training consists - among other things - of the following parts: self rescue & diver stress, diving first aid, panicked diver, tired diver, missing diver procedures, distressed diver, equipment considerations, emergency management, surfacing an unconscious diver, unconscious diver at the surface, in-water rescue breathing protocols, first aid procedures for pressure related accidents and dive accident scenarios.

After successful completion of this course, you are an internationally licensed PADI Rescue Diver.

Padi Specialty Diver

When you are interested in a specific area of diving that you enjoy like for example wreck diving, deep diving, underwater photography, ... ; PADI Specialty courses offer you the opportunity to bring your knowledge & experience in specific areas of diving to higher and safer levels. Each PADI Specialty Diver course is an experience in itself. You will have a lot of fun and adventure with each course!!

You can choose from the following PADI Specialty Diver courses:

* You are minimum 10 years & a certified PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Specialty Boat: 1 day/2 boatdives.
PADI Specialty Underwater Photography: 1 day/2 photography dives.
PADI Specialty Underwater Navigation: 1 day/3 navigation dives.
PADI Speciatly Underwater Naturalist: 1 day/2 dives.
PADI Specialty Peak Performance Buoyancy: 1 day/2 dives.

* You are minimum 12 years & a certified PADI (Junior) Scubadiver, PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Equipment Specialist: 1 day.

* You are minimum 12 years & a certified PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Specialty Drift: 1 day/2 drift dives.
PADI Specialty Night: 3 nightdives spread over 3 days.
PADI Specialty Multilevel: 1 day/2 dives.
PADI Specialty Scooter : 1 day/2 dives.

* You are minimum 12 years & a certified PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Specialty Deep: 2 days/4 deep dives.
PADI Specialty Wreck: 2 days/4 wreck dives.

* You are minimum 12 years & a certified PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver
or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Specialty Search & Recovery: 2 days/4 dives.

* You are minimum 15 years & a certified PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent through another training organization:
PADI Enriched Air Diver = Nitrox: 1 day/2 dives.

During the PADI Specialty Nitrox you dive with enriched air, learn to analyze cylinder contents, plan enriched air dives using tables & dive computers and safely increase your no decompression limit.

There is hardly a speciality imaginable in diving that is as diverse as the PADI Specialty Underwater Photography. Whether you are reef diving, ice diving, mountain lake diving or wreck diving, there is always something worth taking a photo of. This makes underwater photography a hobby, which can be combined with any other PADI Speciality within the sports diving, also giving the diver an opportunity to
share his underwater world with people who do (not yet) dive.
After
completing
the PADI Specialty Underwater Photography
, you receive a
CD with the underwater pictures taken by you during this Specialty
Course.


Padi (Junior) Master Scuba Diver

To become a PADI (Junior) Master Scuba Diver; you have taken all courses up to and including the PADI Rescue Diver and EFR & have done 5 PADI Specialties. This is the last step in the PADI pyramid for recreational divers. By following the PADI Divemaster course you can take your first step into the world of professional diving.

Padi Divemaster - Go Pro!

If you want to make diving your profession, then this is the first step to take. This course takes you to a high level of diving, both theoretical and practical, and introduces you to the PADI system of teaching.

During the academic training you learn everything about diving. You will expand your knowledge of diving theory and practice. Watermanship and stamina are evaluated together with leadership skills and dive planning. Your diving skills will be developed to demonstration quality. You will complete a rescue evaluation, produce an Emergency Assistance Plan and map for a local dive site. You will supervise diving activities and function as an instructional assistant, both in confined and open water. You will learn how to lead guided dive tours independently.


As a certified and insured PADI Divemaster, you may lead certified divers on guided dive tours, assist PADI Instructors with students, ... ! (programs certified and insured PADI Divemasters may conduct, can be found in the General Standards & Procedures of the PADI Instructor Manual/CD-ROM).

Prerequisites in order to enrol in the PADI Divemaster course:
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Certified as a Padi Rescue Diver or equivalent through another training organization.
- Minimum 20 logged dives (you must have completed 60 dives to get certified).
- Medical statement signed by a doctor not older than 1 year.

Duration: 'short term' = 10 days OR 'long term' = 24 days.

We strongly recommend the 'long term' option as you are trained to become a dive professional. The long term course is specifically designed to prepare you for the realities of life as a working PADI Divemaster.
The PADI Divemaster course is also possible as an internship (duration depends on your dive experience) in which you have the opportunity of working with students and on dive boats alongside our experienced professional PADI Instructors/Diveguides in our diving school.
